Assessing Content Validity of Survey Items about Women Veterans Reasons for, and Barriers to, Seeking Care for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention

The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate survey items, based on relevant literature and prior Theory of Care Seeking Behavior (TCSB) research, to be used to describe younger women veterans’ reasons for, and barriers to, seeking care for cardiovascular disease prevention. The specific aims were to: (1) develop survey items based on relevant literature and prior TCSB research, and (2) assess content validity of proposed survey items.
